ABOUT US

Submitted by . on Tue, 05/25/2010 - 10:15

Mission:
The Pediatric Brain Injury Foundation’s mission is to provide knowledge and support to families and caretakers of children with Brain injury, and advocate for those children.

What We Do:
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is devastating at any age. Pediatric survivors of TBIs have many resources available for recovery and rehabilitation, but many parents and caretakers do not have the tools necessary to connect their children with optimal care. Our primary focus is to educate parents and caretakers about Brain Injury and provide referral support to connect them with available services. Our secondary focus is to advocate for children who have survived a TBI as a result of abuse.

While our advocacy is focused on pediatrics with TBI, the resources and referrals provided by the Pediatric Brain Injury Foundation can be helpful for both adults and children with TBI and other disabilities.
